In 1980 I bought my first computer, an Apple II with 48k of RAM. I remember that I paid $309 for the external 142K diskette drive which is $800 in today's dollars. I can buy a decent machine for that today!

Kicking myself for not being smart yesterday. Now I'm in a pickle and it's my own fault... *sigh*

I can quote "The Princess Bride" word for word... I'm so proud of myself *tears*

Its looking to be a very lonely Christmas for me. I don't have anybody who is available to spend a day with me and if there were, I've been too busy or exhausted to ask.

I got to spend time with benjimouse and mazer_hyena on Monday before benjimouse left for his winter vacation. He's going to Chicago to spend time with his extended family.

I really am disappointed how this year has gone. Granted its difficult to adjust to all the challenges, but I feel like I've made bad choices on many things. Allot of what happened was based on circumstances and I don't believe I should take too hard, but there are a few that I have a hard time letting go because they were so devastating.

Another problem has been the fact that I've made less this year than last year. After having found a way to get many people Christmas presents last year, including people I consider my good friends, last year, my hours at work and the economic downturn has made this year one of the hardest for me because I barely have money and I cannot get anybody anything; as a result, has broken my heart.

Even though the these tough times I continue to push through it, I try not to let it get to me, but there are constant reminders I am confronted with daily that make it difficult.

So, in order to get smoking hot (yea right:P)  i Went to the gym, worked out too much,  my body hurts :) 

Skiing will be challenging  tonight.

Okay dude with the snow blower running at 10:20 at night... Seriously? I mean... Seriously?

Saturday: Snow!

Sunday: Sledding fun with a couple of foxes! I was naturally camouflaged for once, too! :D

Vin seemed to adapt rather well to his first time in the snow.

lupine_fox decided that using the path I'd created down the hill wasn't adventuresome enough, so--and this was probably with his cub scout/webelo days kicking in--he chose to trail blaze a new path down the other side. With a belly flop on the sled, away he went.. muzzle first into a deep drift that had banked up over there. Ended with a face full of snow! hehe. Silly fox! No pics., sorry.

Unfortunately it was too cold to pack the snow and target some tails. Maybe next time. ;)

But it was ok, becouse instead i was in FL having an awesome time visiting rrruff , Jetskiing, beeing tough how to playing tennis and eating awesome french dinner and seafood :)  !  eating lots btw :P 


Now back at the office.. with may be 6 or  more people present today... . I don`t understand the excuse to be snowed in after 2 days of the  snowfall day...
I got lucky that Kelar saved me a spot to park last night when came back from the airport.. and some other folks made it to work... so !  where are you guys, its monday and time to be at the office !


Addendum #1: Work changed their vacation policy!  this is awesome ! More vacations = Happier Huskis. Before i had 40 hrs of sick time, since i VERY rarely get sick... they went unused. now they are PTO :)
